I spent the last six years helping build DoubleBlind, a media and education platform at the forefront of the psychedelic movement, from the ground up—serving as both head of marketing and operations. My work there spanned everything from launching our print magazine and newsletter to streamlining company systems, growing our course platform and membership program to over 10,000 users, and helping turn big ideas into measurable impact.

Segmentation Strategy | Email Marketing Optimization

I overhauled Jupiter Hotel’s segmentation and testing strategy—building dynamic audience groups, implementing A/B testing protocols, and creating a clear reporting system.

Result: In under three months, their average open rate had climbed 266%. We achieved consistent improvement in click-through and deliverability, rescuing their domain rating from “Bad” to “High” in Google Postmaster Tools.

DoubleBlind

Newsletter Strategy & Launch | Operational Systems

At DoubleBlind, I led the launch of the brand’s flagship newsletter from concept to execution, overseeing everything from design and content strategy to production workflows and audience growth. I built out the systems that tied editorial, marketing, and advertising together, including a new ad placement process, creative review workflow, and analytics tracking to ensure each campaign performed.

Result: Email became one of DoubleBlind’s most profitable channels, accounting for 75% of total advertising revenue. The newsletter subscriber base grew by 10.3% month-over-month, and the launch of a paid subscription tier created a new, reliable, and low-barrier-to-entry recurring income stream for the brand.

Website Rebrand & Launch | Design & Strategy

For Birches Motel, I managed a full website rebrand—reworking site architecture, copy, and visual design to better reflect the property’s recent renovation and guest experience. I also implemented systems for managing updates and bookings efficiently post-launch.

Result: Delivered a modern, user-friendly site optimized for conversions, strengthening the property’s brand presence and online booking performance.
